I was born into a family where education receives the upmost attention and respect. That said, I hold a dear place in my heart for the assistance of others in their pursuit of it. It is my personal opinion that education is the one thing that cannot be stolen from you, in this digital world, where more and more things can be these days. I am Grace Sams, or “Mrs. Grace”, as my students call me, and I would be delighted to assist your child on their academic journey towards success! I, myself, hold a Master’s degree, so have provenly charted the academic path to success as well. I have been tutoring online for nearly 6 years.
I’ve cleared several federal background checks and am currently Certified through the NTA. I believe in compassion, hard work, patience, responsibility, but mostly encouragement, positivity, praise, and empathy when working with children in my personal classroom. I believe in an “I do, you do, we do” model of learning. Mostly, I believe all children can improve in the classroom when given the right tools, the right encouragement, the right instruction, but mostly the confidence that they need to be a success!
My goal is to have as much of an impact on your child’s life as they will have on mine. I love what I do! I tutor pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, usually, but have been known to make exceptions. My main focuses are the English Language Arts (Reading & Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Spelling, Vocabulary, Writing), and Math; however, I have tutored classes in Science, Social Studies, Nutrition, and, yes, even Singing, as well. I have experience with students with special needs: those who fall on the spectrum of autism; those with learning disabilities, such as dyslexia or other unspecified disabilities; those with severe ADHD; and those who require Special Education.
